Week 6

Wow week 6, and it doesn't seem like we have only just got back from camp. The weeks are flying by and they are very full with everything we have happening.

ASK ME ABOUT:
CBHS: We began the week with CBHS students coming in again and coaching us for different sports. It is great to see the way everyone participates with these sessions. We have two more to go next week

Congratulations to Katie: After an exhausting camp and with it being her birthday, Katie arrived home on Friday and went straight off to a swim meet. She earned herself 3 ribbons, a couple of them for personal bests. Wow, you are a super star Katie.

Senior School Swimming Sports: Many thanks to our wonderful parents for their help. We could not do these events without you support. Well done to all of the students for going out their and giving it  go. We are really proud of what you have achieved. We have our West Zone happening on Thursday 15th March at Jellie Park. We have 18 students competing in the afternoon. Good Luck to all of you, including the students from Room 19, Charmaine, Katie, Grace, George and Illia.

We had a chance to complete a couple of challenges this week. First one was seeing how many pebbles we could move from one cup into another one, without using our hands. We were able to use a straw. Check out the short video clip.

FRIDAY CHALLENGE: We set ourselves up into groups of 4-5 and we were given the task pf building a tower for our new basketball to sit on. We had to have the tower be able to hold the basketball up for 20 seconds. We all began by just wrapping our basketball up in newspaper, we need to make sure that we read our instructions correctly. Check out some of the towers that we built.

The Winning team: Their tower held their ball for over 20 seconds.

BUDDY CLASS: Room 10 are our buddy class. We got to meet up with them this week before we went along to the School assembly. We were very happy to be working alongside other new students. We are looking forward to getting to know them more.
