Week 3 Ask Me About

Another week has flown by...
This week we managed to have a full week with class learning activities.

Love is: We wrote poems about the things we love most. Check out a couple below.

Love Is....
dancing to trendy music,
staring at shimmering stars with friends and family,
splashing in the cool sky blue pool with delicious food on the plate.
by Christina
Love Is….
love is creating big bright smiles on the juniors faces,
relaxing in shiny bubbles in a luscious bath, watching the moonlight shimmer upon the great sapphire ocean.
by Holly

LOVE IS….
Gazing at the moon as it fades away into the refreshing scent of the morning sun.
Showing respect to the people around you and the people you love.
Appreciating people to make them feel good.

By Daniella.

LOVE IS…

Sitting at the beach seeing the blazing sun shining on the waves crashing against the rocks like rhinos.
exploring around the world like clouds moving slowly.
trick or treating at Halloween for a scary jump scare.
by William

Love is...

Playing cricket on a crisp summer morning
Gazing over the diamond-sapphire sea with pale, half-moon light washing over me
Traveling to unknown and unseen places

Google: Almost all of us have google accounts now so we have been completing our writing in Google Docs. What have you found out about this?

Statistics: Excel is great for creating a graph. What sort of graph did you create?

Mapping: involves following directions. We completed an activity where we had to follow coordinates. What did we produce from this. Next we took a blank map around the school. What learning was involved here?

Reading: We have started our reading rotations. The activities involve thinking strategies using Blooms Taxonomy, Remembering, and Understanding were the ones we focused ont his week. Our reading is about Reptiles.

CAMP: Not long now and we are off to camp. We have some very excited students, sorting out bunkrooms and ideas for camp concert.
If there is anything at all you would like to know more about please do not hesitate to contact me.

Camp Gear Check

Friday 19th February is camp gear list day.
Please remember to only bring what was on the list that we sent home on Tuesday.

Thank you.

16 February 2016

Dear Mums and Dads
Gear Check
Thank you very much to those of you who have offered assistance. Please check through the summary of helpers to make sure I haven’t made a mistake.
A gear list for this camp has been posted on the blog so that it is easy to get to.  The children are having a clothing check for essential items for camp on Friday 19 February. This gear check is to ensure their safety and has the support of our Board of Trustees.
ALL clothing is to be clearly named please. The items that need to be brought to school for checking this Friday are:
-          2 polypropylene tops or equivalent
-          1 thick woollen jersey (acrylic is unsuitable as it does not keep you warm)
-          1 polar fleece jacket, bush shirt or extra jersey
-          1 warm woollen hat
-          1 pair of warm woollen gloves
-          1 sunhat
-          1 pair of comfortable well soled walking shoes or boots
-          1 pair of old sneakers or similar for around camp
-          At least 1 pair of woollen or polypropylene socks
-          1 WATERPROOF jacked with sealed seams and not just showerproof
If you are unsure about any items or have difficulty obtaining them, please ask us.
I will host a short meeting for parents at 3.15pm on Friday to cover what we are doing at camp. It would be great if parent helpers can stay for a short time after this to cover any other important information.
Thank you,
Linda Ewen
