We were so fortunate to have people from these different sports come along and provide their time and skills to us. Also involved was Robbie from Sport Canterbury and NZIS students.

Trip To Art Gallery

Monday 4th September:

Room 19 were lucky enough to go on a trip to the Art Gallery. Many thanks to our parents, Jian, Hiroko and Liz who volunteered to help us on the day.

We were introduced to the two teachers who were going to be working with us then split into two groups and given a tour around the gallery to look a few landscape art pieces.

After the tour we were taking back to the art room and given a task of creating a landscape, using a technique called pointillism. Pointillism is a technique of painting in which small distinct dots of colour are applied in patterns to form a picture. See examples below:

We did not get our art work finished so it has been posted to us to continue at school when we have time. Keep an eye out for our progress on these paintings.
