EASTER

CHALLENGE

I have an Eggstraordinary challenge for you, leading up to Easter.

Who can come up with an Eggciting way to decorate eggs for Easter.

Just boil an egg and decorate it.Think of a theme that you can use and go for it. Be mindful to also consider your packaging and or presentation. Think of sports, games, TV programmes, movies characters, animals....or what ever

Below are a couple of examples. Remember to think of your own ideas.

NEXT TUESDAY

LOOKING FORWARD TO TUESDAY 27 MARCH for

Lots of styles out there. Get ideas from the internet.

WRITING

This week we have been writing some great letters. Mrs Ewen read us the book, "The Day the Crayons Quit"

We then decided to write to items that we used too much, or not enough. Please check out our writing below.

WEEK 8 has been a very interesting week with lots of new learning.

The week started with a great event organised by Mrs Dykstra: TOP TEAM:
MONDAY
We were sorted into groups and had to rotate around 11 different stations which had challenging activities to do.

WELL DONE to all of the house captains and School council members who helped throughout the day.
Huge congratulations go to George for his outstanding efforts with everyone throughout the day. He received a Principals Award for his work.

TUESDAY:

TEACHERS: dressed up as Famous people who have come across challenge in their lives.
Mrs Ewen and Miss Love were Sir Ed Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. What were the challenges that they had during their lives. This was a great ignition to our new inquiry. More about this as the term passes.

DUATHLON: On Monday, we have 4 students from Room 19 who are competing in the Canterbury Duathlon at Ruapuna Speedway. GOOD LUCK to George, Daniel, MIchael F and Katie.

We watched an awesome short clip on Friday. Check it out: What do you think it is about?

WRITING: We have been writing letters which are similar to those from the book: "The Day the Crayons Quit"
