Welcome to Term 1 2026.
It is so great to have our new class for the year. We have had an awesome start. Thank you for the wonderful photos for your child's diary. Most of them have been covered now and in use.
What did we get up to in our first week back?
We discussed our Wonderings for 2026 in Room 4. Some of these included: Answers in pink
- Where and who are we going to camp with? Woodend and we are going with Room 2 and Room 19
- What will it be like in Room 4?
- Will Linda bring her dog in to school? Hopefully
- Do the Year 5's get to hold the flags at the end of the year for the Year 6 students? Yes
- Will we get to play Capture the Flag? We did on Thursday
- Who is our Buddy Class? Room 11
Beat the Clock: We were with a buddy and then we had 3 minutes to write down our ideas to the following:
- Names of people starting with the letter P
- Names of flowers
- Animals found in the jungle
Our Classroom Norms: We have decorated our block letter names, and this is on the wall of our classroom.....
TRAFFIC JAM: Wow we had lots of fun??? well do we call it that? There were lots of us saying, I give up, I don't understand... With a couple of clues from Mrs Ewen we got there.
WORDLE: Wow look at this.... We had one letter correct but in the wrong place.
Laura suggested the 3rd word and what do you know... It was correct.
A great first week...
