Maori Language Week

This week is Maori Language Week.

We read a picture book by Gavin Bishop about Maui and the Big Fish. 

We chose a partner to work with and then recreated chalk drawings about the story.

Kirkwood Visit

Last Thursday Ilam school year 6 students had a morning visit at Kirkwood Intermediate! All of the students got to visit classrooms and get involved in the learning. After break they had a chance to have a close look at what happens with technology. Some groups did cooking, electronics, woodwork, metal and plastic hard materials. They all enjoyed their visit!
