Week 8

It is hard to believe that we have just completed Week * of TERM 3. How did we get this far into the year?

See below some photos of our learning over the past two weeks.

Jenny and Trevor Agnew: Special Guests

Last week, as part of our Social Science Inquiry based on migration, we were lucky enough to be visited by Jenny Agnew-Sew Hoy and her husband Trevor. Jenny is a 5th generation Chinese New Zealander; her great-great-grandfather was Choie Sew Hoy. Choie Sew Hoy was a pioneer, merchant, and active community member, arriving in Otago New Zealand in 1869 during the Gold Rush. Jenny and Trevor have written a School Journal article that we all read and were very generous with their time, sharing their family story and answering our questions.

ADELAIDE: WOW what a beautiful Rhythmic Gymnast: Congratulations on your achievements in your latest competitions.

Well Done to Lina and Tinoi for their fantastic presentation about Samoan Tattoos.
