FOOD FOR THOUGHT

 What a great beginning we have had to Term 3. 

On Monday we had our first session with Brittany from Food Stuffs with a programme called Food for Thought.

We have learnt a number of new things about food. 








Our second session on Tuesday was regarding Food labels. We read some labels in class to help us understand what they are all about. 

How much sugar was in the different drinks that Brittany shared, Coca Cola, Just Juice, Flavoured Water, Gatorade etc. Were you surprised by this? How much sugar should we be having each day, What about fruit and veges? 




On Wednesday we were lucky enough to have some fantastic parent support with Annabel, Dean, Bernard, Kylie, Rochelle and Ella's grandparents helping us out at New World. We got to check out labels of a variety of foods, such as Cereals, Dairy products, snack bars, crackers and breads. Ask us what are the best things to eat to make sure that you get the required amount of Fats, dietary fibre and sugar.
