What have you learnt about so far?
What are we doing in this photo?
Maths: we have learnt to work out the perimeter of a shape.
Writing: Last week we write about a photo of Everest.
Gazing over the rocky, snowy terrain as I prepare
my parachute.
Hearing my thoughts echoing through my mind makes
me shaky - almost thinking I’m not alone.
Seeing puffy white clouds and crisp white snow.
A vast, massive crater stretches in front of me.
Realising a couple of inches of firm snow on a
ledge of clay is all there is preventing me from falling the mile down to water
level.
Seeing my mum’s eyes burn like that, a laser into
mine makes me wonder if this was such a good idea after all
By Adam H
I see reflective ice smashing through the
mist covered mountains.
I hear the wind blowing loudly echoing down
the mountains.
I wonder why I am out here
thoughts going through my head.
‘’Boom’’ a rolling snow avalanche came
tumbling down.
I see the mist coming through the mountains.
By Ava
I see snow covered rocky mountains in front of me
waiting for me to climb them.
I hear wind it is blowing on the tent.
I smell the cold air the air it is clean.
I feel cold and fun and bit scary.
The snow taste like water and cold.
I will think if my friends are here too.
I feel very good.I will say yay I did it.
By Adam Li
I can hear my own thoughts wondering why I’m here
after all.
My tent is flapping around I see a massive mountain
as I get ready to conquer it.
I look out at the crisp white snow and the crystal
clear ice loom in icicles front of me.
I gaze out at the rocky edges with all the white
snow looking out at the mountain.
I hear the wind whistling to me it’s like it’s
calling to me.
I’m thinking about all my doubtful friends and some
of my family.
I wonder when I can go home but there is still a
massive step in my way.
By Ben
I was freezing as if I was trapped in a block of
ice and not a living thing anywhere I stare.
The only thing I see is the crispy white snow on
the mountain range. I hear the crackling of the emerald tent.
The sapphire sky on top of me leading me higher and
higher to reach the peak.
Distracting thoughts were bursting at me as I heard
the disturbance of my friends not thinking I can accomplish my challenge.
I wonder how long it will take.
By Christina
I see…
A huge
white shimmering mountain.
Ghost
like clouds floating around in the shimmering sapphire sky.
I hear…
The icy
howling wind whispering in my freezing ears.
I think…
My family
thought that I was out of my mind but I will prove to the them that Iwill
conquer that mountain.
I
wonder...
What
people do up the mountains.
What they
think.
How cold
it must be up there.
Clemence
I’m puffed but I peer around and see the huge white blanket slowly
covering the ice pick. The wind howling at me mixed with snoring for the first
time I notice a flapping tent with a man sleeping in it.
I’m wondering if this man was going to attempt the climb of the towering
mountain.
Thinking it's quite to quite the snoring has stopped ice pick gone I
slowly look behind me scared of what I might see.
A man charging at me ice pick high in the air. I stumble out of the way
remembering what the last thing my friend said you will die. I think this is
the end, nothing happens.
I look up eyes staring at me. It
was my best friend. We have a hug, then trudged up the mountain side by side
heading for the adventure of a life time.
By Emma
It’s freezing up here, on the snow-capped mountains I have yet to
conquer
How did I get to sleep on the sparkling snow, reflecting off the bright
sun.
I peek out of the tent. It’s AMAZING.I Look up, foggy, white clouds gaze
down at me. I glare at the neighbouring mountain range.
I think about all the people telling me to not go. I wonder why I didn't
listen .as I prepare to embark I take one last glimpse at the mountain. It
looks almost ghostly.
By George
As I peek through my
tent, I can already see the reflection of the ice shining in the sparkling sun.
Listening to the
whistling sound of the wind blowing in my ear as I approach the white snowy
mountain.
Wondering how cold
and freezing the cotton coloured snow will feel on my hands.
Thinking how long it
will take to climb to the very tip of the misty mountain.
By Giulia
Rocky liquorish mountains planted with snow and trapped ice drying out
as the water peeks through.
I hear the tent flapping in the cold breeze sneaking slowly up my
chest.
As I’m about to climb the mountain in front of me, I can hear the voices
of my anxious friends waiting for me to come home.
I wonder what the amazing view will be like and how it will be different
from my other climbs.
BY Holly
I see a great white mountain that's made of frozen ice stand on the cold
snow. It is as high as the floating cloud in the blue sky.
I can hear the snow on the mountain slide down, and crashing. I think
about if I really want to climb up to the top of the mountain, it will take 4
hours, and I can't shout loudly or the snow will fall down.
I wonder how snows make a mountain.
By Jonathan
I see the rocky and snow covered mountain I still
have yet to climb.
I hear the wind gusting the tent side to side.
I think of my warm cosy bed and my boiling hot mug
of milo.
I wonder how long it will take me to climb this
misty mountain.
By Luca.
I
can hear the wild wind whistling through the mountain valleys,
And
the rocks cascading down the snowy mountains.
I
can see, like the Eagles eye, the fluffy clouds dusting off a mountain .
I
wonder how mountains form for mysterious climbers to find.
I
think of my beautiful family at home worrying about me.
By
Nadia
The tent flaps
vigorously waving in the tortuous winter breeze,
Never ending
clear sky reaches up above me as I prepare to jump,
The wind is
screaming in my ear as pressure to continue climbing,
Icy snow
beneath my feet waiting to make a disaster,
Voices of
disbelief from my friends and family back at home floating in my head,
I wonder if my
extensive journey will ever come to an end.
By Niamh
Frosty smooth snow flake falling from my eye.
Peeking through the Kowhai coloured tent I see remarkable bright light
shining in creamy layers of snow.
I hear the thick slippery snow falling down from the peak to the
valleys.
I wonder about the risk I’m taking and about my family worrying.
I think about the hot chocolate I drink before I go to bed and the
delicious food my mum makes.
Pavi
I see the mountain
towering over the valley of snow that lay before me.
I hear the wind like
a river, rapidly swaying my tent to and frow .
Slowly getting colder
and colder chilling me to the bone as I wonder if my friends were right about
this.
I think of everyone
doubting me and my mum on the last goodbye ,she kissing me till I couldn't
breathe.
By Sienna
Seeing the blue
sapphire sky with plain white fog around
the frosty high
mountain.
The strong wind blows
the bright butterscotch tent driving
it to flap left and
right.
Thinking of friends
and family in disbelief with painful
shattered hearts.
Wondering if I’ll
conquer my fear at last nervous and
frightening.
By Umi
I see crisp shards of snow tumbling down to the
bottom of the rocky mountain .
I hear the screaming wind blowing through me while
sitting in the tentwatching the view of the clear blue sky .
I think of my trusty friends and family talking to
me while I climb up the icy mountain.
I wonder when I’ll get back to my lovely home town
By William
Sitting down to rest after a struggling climb, I wondered if I would
ever conquer this gigantic mountain towering over me.
A faint but threatening sound startled me. As it stopped I realised it
was ice cracking in the distance.
As I peeked out of my tent, I saw vast mountainous valleys, waiting to
be explored.
I thought about the things that had happened to me, as words of
disbelief clouded my head.
Ysabella
Mountains covered with snow each second I blink.
I hear nothing but the wind slightly shaking the
tent making my body feel left alone.
I think of good and bad feelings of why my family
was doubting me and telling me it's too dangerous.
I wonder if I will make it back in time
By Poppy
I could hear the wind howling outside, making the tent shiver.
I peek through the tent and can see a rugged mountain covered with porcelain snow.
I think how on earth have l gotten myself into this mess, and begin to agree with my parents
I wonder if it is going to be worth it.
By Jules
I see the spooky clouds staring at me. The rocky mountains waiting patiently waiting for me to climb them.
I hear cold breeze warning me to get my warm blanket up. My shivering body getting goose bumps everywhere even when I’m wearing my cozy waterproof jacket and woolen socks.
The wind howls like pack of wolves howling at the moon.
I wonder if my family is waiting for me to return from my journey.
By Benit
I hear the wind as loud as an explosion.
Rocks rolling off the edge and smashing on the sharp ice below.
I see the ghostly cloud covering the frosty mountain tip.
I wonder what mum and dad are thinking about my latest extreme climb.
I think of the ways to conquer that mountain once and for all.
By Charles
I see ghostly white clouds floating over the triangular mountain layered with snow.
Sapphire sky, crispy white, grey snow.
I hear crackling wind all around me as I gaze my eyes over the world before me wondering what will happen next.
The thoughts of my friends and family echo freely as the wind carries them away.
As weakness regains its power upon me I struggle to keep going.
By Daniella
As I sat their on the edge it was so quiet all I could hear was my heart pounding and the little voices in my head of my friends doubting me.
I can see the crispy snow crumbling off the mountain side and my sharp jagged ice pic ready for the vertical journey ahead. I think my mum thought I was out of mind crazy! When I told her I was climbing a mountain. I wonder what my friends will think of me when I conquer it.
By Giovanna
As I lie in the frosty snow I think will I regret doing this as my jagged pic starts to freeze
The wind blows in my ear as I prepare for a long journey ahead of me.
I see the massive mountain cracking as the mountain freezes up to the peak of the mountain.
I wonder will I survive up this cold
Frosty mountain peak.
I heard the thoughts of my friends doubtfully saying you'll regret this.
By Patrick
I look below me and see huge chunks of ice falling off the mountain side.
The turquoise sky flys above me and I hear something whispering in my ear.
You can conquer this mountain.
I always think of my warm bed instead of this ice box I call a sleeping bag.
I hope my shivering body can stand this frostbite.
I wonder if my family is thinking of me.
I hope I can get back where I belong.

It was funny when Porou and kahaurangi came over to RM 19 because Kahaurangi allways went to Mrs Ewen or Mel (his mum).
