BAKING DAY

We had a HUGE day on Thursday baking.

We made crackers, muesli, Christmas balls, chocolate bark and shortbread. HUGE thanks to Vivienne Gin and Annabel Ho for being there to guide and support us. We could not do it without your help.

CHOIR

Well done to our students from Room 4 who are in the Choir. They performed a song for us on Wednesday during a certificate presentation.

FLAT STANLEY

How exciting: We received an email from Ariana's aunty yesterday. She has had FLat Stanely out and about (as much as you can in Auckland)

Kia ora Linda and Ariana!

Aunty Katrina here! Flat Stanley and I had a wonderful time checking out the sites in Auckland, he particularly liked the Sky Tower so we had to take photos from multiple locations. Despite being in lockdown up here, we managed a few different walks together which has been lovely, especially since the weather has been so warm and beautiful. We recently walked around the Westhaven Marina and under the Auckland Harbour Bridge. This is where people can bungy jump from which Flat Stanley was keen on but I told him it was too scary so we just took his picture from under the bridge instead. Also on our walk we enjoyed all the amazing boats that are in the marina and the great views of the Sky Tower. We also had to visit the Sky Tower itself but due to covid it’s not currently open so we could only see it from underneath. We had to get a selfie from my apartment balcony to finish his fabulous holiday.

Hope he finds you safe and sound soon, he’s on his way!

Thanks,

Katrina

ATHLETICS DAY

Thank you to you all, tamariki, for the outstanding effort at the Year 5-6 Senior School Athletics Day. You all went out there and tried your very best. Unfortunately we were unable to have parents observing and we are no longer going ahead with West Zone Athletics.
