WEEK 3
Another great week in Room 4:
MATHS: We have been learning to be Data detectives: asking questions, collecting data, displaying and analysing it. The data in the next two graphs is from NZ Census.
We made our own data squares as shown below. We included our age, sport, and favourite colour. Then we were able to make our own bar graphs from the data.
SOFTBALL SKILLS: We were very fortunate to have a couple of people come out and show us some skills for softball, throwing and catching with a mitt and running the bases.
WHAT AN AWESOME LOOKING GROUP OF KIDS

MARSHMALLOW CHALLENGE
Today we had a challenge.
First we discussed what we all thought needed to happen within a team. These are some of the ideas we came up with:
We were out into teams to complete the Marshmallow Challenge.

BELOW: WORKING ON A GAME WITH A TEAM OF STUDENTS. The task was to come up with ideas for a game that you could play with just a few items: dice, sticks and pen and paper. This was to help during your journey on the ship from England to New Zealand.
