STOCK MARKET:
On Tuesday we were lucky enough to have Karen come in and provide us with some more information about the stock market. She gave us ideas about different shares and also the industries. What did you learn from Karen?
VANSHIKA: Well done to Vanshika who went along to the staff room on Friday at morning tea time. She presented about an Indian Food, samosa, for part of her Cultural leadership role. They were very yummy.

Book Week
Book Week is not too far away!
One fun activity the children can opt to do is take a picture of reading in their favourite place! This could be up a tree, in a tent, on a mountain... the possibilities are endless!
This will be advertised in the school newsletter and on Face book. If you could please advertise on your blog or through your weekly updates this would be fab!
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
-Photos can be emailed to me at linda.ewen@ilam.school.nz starting the Monday of Book week and finishing no later than 5pm on Wednesday 22nd August.

TERM 3
Wow Week 2 of Term 3 completed. Where has that time gone.
Many thanks to all of the parents for the great turn out to our learning conferences.
Our first day back had Room 19 completing a flash mob for Mr Marsh as it was his birthday.
When we got back from Tournament there was a game of silent ball. Look at where the ball ended up.
During the first week of term we made rubbish bags out of newspaper so that we could collect any rubbish from our lunches during the week. Check out the video below. After two weeks this is some of our results. Our next step is to see what changes we could make to lower the amount of rubbish we make. Stay Tuned to see what we come up with
