Helping Circle

Room 19 have been learning to write persuasive speeches. Today the focus was on the introduction. After the session we had helping circle. As you can see everyone is very focussed. 

Week 5 in Room 19

What a fantastic end to Week 5. 


NETBALL TEAMS: TUI and KERERU both had good wins and what an awesome day it was weather wise.  Ilam Rugby also won their last game Well done to all teams. 

An awesome couple of basketball games. The Celtics played off in the semi final against STAC. Unfortunately they lost but what a game!
Thunder won against Middleton Green. Below is their score!

Good Luck to both teams playing in their finals this week. Celtics play off for 3rd & 4th against Middleton at 3:45pm and Thunder have a huge game against STAC at 4:30pm. If you get a chance it would be great to see you there supporting the teams. 

Huge thanks to Matthew and Miss Drake for their support through the season. 

CONGRATULATIONS to George who received the MVP (Most valued player) for his Hockey team in the weekend. Whoop Whoop

Week 4

This term is flying by: We have been busy once again.

Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS to the Leopards Hockey team who have been accepted as an invitational team in the Primary Sport Centrals Winter Tournament. This takes place this Thursday 24 August

CONGRATULATIONS Also to the following: Hugh, Dylan, Ysabella, Sophie and Xavier for receiving Distinction or High Distinction in ICAS exams. We are so proud of you!

 CONGRATULATIONS to PARTH: who has received his final certificate from Lexia. Well done on the completion of this.

LOOK AT THIS CAKE: Made by our very own George for Home Learning. It was delicious and looked too good to eat. He even made all of the chocolate spirals, curls on top. 

GYMNASTICS this week was taken by Mr Pexton and we have been learning how to balance with a partner.

Once again congratulations to students in Room 19. This time to the students below, Hugh, Luca and Jack for coming 3rd in the chess tournament which sees them going through to the Nationals. Good Luck with your next competition.

Week 2

Another busy week completed in Room 19. 

Students were again involved with Life Education, what was the learning that happened during this session?

Thankfully the weather was good enough for the West Zones Tournament. It was great to see the support on the sidelines.

WOW the new basketball uniforms look fantastic. Many thanks to Mr Dolan for allowing us to have these uniforms. 

Thank you too the parents who supported the learning conferences last week. It was fantastic to catch up with everyone. 

MIHI

Room 19 students have been presenting their Mihi's. Well done to Julia who presented hers in Japanese

. 

Mihi Whakatau: What super behaviour we had by all of the Ilam Students for this event on Thursday. Well done to the Room 19 students for sitting with their buddies and being such great role models. 

WEST ZONE TOURNAMENT

Well done to everyone who competed in the Zone Tournament today at Hagley Netball Courts and Burnside Park.
