ASK ME ABOUT

WEEK 4:

Anti-Bullying Week: What did you learn about Bullying? What is the meaning and understanding around this at Ilam School? 





Well done to all students who entered the Post/film competition. 

Congratulations to all of Room 19 for the wonderful way that they worked with Room 8, our Buddy class. 




Cross Country: We had a fantastic day on Thursday for the West Zone Cross Country event. Congratulations to everyone who was in the team. 



Friday Sports: This was our second week for some of the teams. Next week, Friday 2nd June is when all of the teams will be playing. Fingers crossed for fine weather!

Basketball: We have a number of students from Room 19 in the Ilam Thunder Basketball team. They have now played 2 games and won both. Thank you to the Room19 students who have come along and supported the team. I am sure that next year we will have more budding young basketballers. 




MATHS: We have been learning how to work out the perimeter of a shape and also the area. Check out the links below to help you!

QUAKE CITY

Room 19 had a fantastic trip into town to visit Quake City and the Museum, Rock On. We gathered a lot of new information about land plates and the different classifications of rocks.

Wow week 2 all ready completed.

WELCOME: to Miss Cass who is a student teacher from Canada who will be working with us for the next 7 weeks. We know that you will enjoy your time in Room 19.

READING: The Billionaires Curse. What would you do if you had a billion dollars? What a strange question, what is that all about?






WRITING: more letter writing this week. What have we been learning about when writing letters this term?

MATHS: Measurement: How many centimetres are there in a metre? How many Metres in a Kilometre, and how about millimetres in a centimetre. 

Senior Team Time: Congratulations to the 4 students who received awards today: Ava Jane and Julia, For always having a positive attitude towards everything we do:  Hugh: For awesome presentation on his knowledge of ANZAC and World War 1 and Benit, for his outstanding presentations with his current events. Well done to all of you!





BURNSIDE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICIANS: On Wednesday we were lucky enough to have Burnside High School come in and play for us. We were super impressed weren't we?
