WEEK 7 OVER AND OUT

How quickly has this term gone? It is whizzing by.

We have had a huge week working on our speech presentation, holiday and reading programme. Every afternoon we have had swimming, and today the students had a wonderful time playing water polo.

Today each student received a notice about a class trip that I have planned to McLean's Island. it is to take place on Friday 9th December. Please complete the form and get it back to me as soon as possible. I know a few parents have already stated that they are interested in coming along. The more the merrier.

Coming up next week is the Top Team event which is being run by Sport Canterbury. Please feel free to come and watch or even help out. The students have made up teams of 7 students. They have decided on fancy dress as well.

CRICKET:
Two of our teams played a competition game today. The weather decided to clear up just in time to make sure that we did get to play. Well done fto the Black and Red teams for displaying great sportsmanship.

ROBO FEST:
Last weekend George was part of an Ilam School team who competed in the Robo Fest. Check out the photos below. Congratulations to George for coming 5th, an awesome effort.

WEEK 6:

What a shaking start we had to this week. I hope that you and your families have all fared okay with all of the quakes. I know that some of you were very fortunate to have made it back to Christchurch on Sunday after been up North of the South Island during Show Weekend.
Room 19 students have all been very calm during the week so that is fantastic.

Exciting News: I have just received an email from Go Noodle to tell me that they now have an app for their programme. Check it out on the link below.

Go Noodle

INTERVIEWS: These will be taking place during the next week. Please make sure you make a time within the time slots allocated. Thank you for your support in this. I know that it is a busy time of the year for everyone.

DECORATIONS: Year 6 students have been busy making decorations during the last week while Year 5's have been learning a song.

SWIMMING: Lessons begin this coming Monday. All children need to have their swimming togs, towel, cap (if they use one) and a bag to carry these items in, every day. During the next week we will be swimming between 2- 2:30pm.

CHRISTCHURCH ADVENTURE PARK: I have been following their progress on Facebook. Check out what is happening. Next Sunday, Ava, Daniella, Adam and William get the chance to get up close and personal again to view what has happened since their last visit. We will publish photos next week.
